Community and Volunteer Service
Dr. Michael Morgan believes that life outside the office is just as important as his work inside the office. He is dedicated to the organizations that offer the less fortunate an opportunity to move their lives in a positive direction. He and his staff feel they can help make this corner of the world a better place by giving their time and talents in any way they can find. Some of the organizations Dr. Morgan and his staff have been involved with over the years are:
Give Back a Smile
The Give Back A Smile ™ (GBAS) program was established by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry® (AACD) out of a desire to give something back to the community, specifically, to help victims of domestic violence, both adults and children. We believe this program allows us to share our talents to help survivors of domestic violence who have suffered damage to, or lost, their smiles in an abusive attack. We work with shelters in the Chicago area to help survivors smile again.
Illinois Mission of Mercy

Volunteers doctors from the Illinois State Dental Society, hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff provided free dental care to adults and children in need in Bloomington, Illinois. People traveled from all corners of the state to have the opportunity to be provided with much needed preventive and restorative dental care.
The staff of Illinois Mission of Mercy treated 1,953 patients and provided close to $1,000,000.00 in free dental care in two days.
The event was memorable for its collaborative spirit. The patients benefited from the cooperative strength of the clinicians and lay volunteers sharing their talents to address needs and deliver care. The event was special, and the volunteers were overwhelmed with grateful thanks from patients.
Chicago Triathlon Medical Staff
Dr. Morgan is a member of the Chicago Accenture Triathlon Medical Staff. He and his colleagues provide care for the 10,000 participants in each year's race along the lakefront in Chicago.
Doctors with a Heart
Doctors who participate in DWAH donate all of their services each Valentine's Day to anyone who needs them. It's an opportunity to make a generous contribution to the community, and a wonderful way to help many who might otherwise not receive care. Because some patients feel reluctant to receive free care, doctors also accept canned goods and nonperishable or monetary donations. Everything the doctor collects is then donated to a local charity.
